6 August 2026: Turkish finished steel exports recorded a strong monthly performance in June 2026, with total shipments rising by 15.41% year-on-year to 1.74 million tonnes (Mt).

30 July 2026: EU finished steel imports from third countries declined by 9.96% month-on-month, following the surge in purchases seen in April as the quota opened (4.10 Mt).

EU aluminium scrap exports continued to increase through the first five months of 2026 following record highs in 2025 (1.27 million metric tons).

Turkish finished steel exports recorded a notable drop in May, with overall shipments declining by 9.19% to 1.37 million tonnes (Mt). Year-to-date (YTD) performance showed a more modest decrease of 5.04%, reaching 6.57 Mt.

EU finished steel imports from third countries increased by 6.62% year-on-year in April, as buyers accelerated purchases following the opening of new safeguard quotas and ahead of tighter trade measures due to take effect in July.
